Murrumbeena Cricket Club was founded in 1910 and from the humble beginnings of one team, grew into one of the major suburban clubs by the 1930's. Murrumbeena is rich in culture and history and offers a sensible and caring approach to the game that makes it enjoyable for all. As the Club Centenary approaches, much is being done and planned to record the history of the club (see the History section for a more detailed background on the club). With a strong and experienced committee that has a commitment to the ongoing success of the club, we welcome all Past, Present and Future players. Presently, the club has 4 senior teams in the VTCA and 7 under aged teams in the SD&CCL. The top 2 senior teams play in South A1/A2 with the 3rds playing in South D1 and the 4ths playing in the South D3 1 day competition. Practice is on Tuesday & Thursday nights for the senior teams commencing at 5:30pm (earlier pre daylight savings), the U11 Tuesday nights 4:30-5:30pm, U13 & U15 training Wednesday nights 5:00-6:00pm and the U17 on Thursday nights from 5:00-6:00pm. |
